Confluence, NIT Kurukshetra
Confluence is one of the most awaited cultural festival of NIT Kurukshetra. It will be held in the middle of February attracting more than five thousand people from more than 50 colleges all over the country. It is not just another fest, It is a fest that wants to celebrate talent of the youth and have a fun filled four days. This celebration offers a myriad of opportunities to translate the rawest potential into jaw-dropping performances meant to spell bound the life in all forms.
This year’s theme is elements: earth, air, water, fire and soul. This theme represents the unity and diversity existing in our campus. Earth is the element of substance, fire the element of power, air is the element of freedom, water the element of change and the lastly the soul which holds everything together.
A few well known artists such as Euphoria, Tatv and Swaratma have thrilled the audience with their performance on campus. The star night is one of the most awaited events during confluence. Other flag ship events such as Groove Armada, Battle of the bands and Fashion Parade have always been a crowd puller and have exciting prizes to offer. Furthermore we have other variety of popular events such solo singing, mock parliament, aap ki adalat, Roadies, limelight and twisted movie.
We hope to make this year’s confluence bigger and better by having more enthusiastic participants and show case a great talent pool of our generation.
Libas – Fashion Parade has always been one of the biggest crowd pullers, showcasing the funkiest trends with whacky themes on the ramp. The winning team bags a large amount of cash prize with goodies and few models will have the opportunity to create their own modeling portfolio by a professional photographer.
Another spectacular event, Groove Armada is a group dance competition which gives a chance for students to express themselves in various forms of dances such as hip hop, classical, bhangra, salsa, break dancing etc. it is one of the most competitive and intense events that gives every competitor the thrush of adrenaline.
Lastl but not the least, it’s every head banger’s favorite, the Battle of the bands. This is one event where every college band is given a chance to rock and roll in the Open theatre of NIT Kurukshetra. May it be hip hop, metal, punk or indie, music will flow into your veins and bring out the energy on stage! This is your chance to growl your frustration, sing your heart out and rap breathlessly.
